Mekeshia Jordan has resided in Estill County for her entire life. She is a graduate from Estill County High School, 1999 and Eastern Kentucky University, 2003. After college she started working at Marcum and Wallace Hospital as a CMA. Mekeshia continues her profession at Mercy Primary Care where she enjoys caring for others and serving the community. From childhood she has shown passion for art and creativity. Through middle and high school she was a member of the Art Club. Mekeshia has found that creating is an essential part of coping with stress and maintaining her well being. She loves to create many items such as jewelry and hair accessories and enjoys using recycled media such as bullets, bottle caps, and vintage fabric. Due to her husbands love for agate hunting she has recently began to learn the art of wire wrapping jewelry and hopes to perfect it. She is a mother to a Outdoor loving son that recently started driving and she also cares for her three nephews due to her sisters fight with drug addiction.
In 2013 she created her Ety shop and has grown as a creator since then. She has recently been nominated to be a Art Council Board Member and is vey excited about this opportunity to share her knowledge about her crafts and etsy shop with the Council. She also hope to encourage the youth in her County to become more involved in the council. She feels it is good for the mind, body, and spirit and wants to share this with the world.
